(SOUTHFIELD) - Four men were taken into police custody early Friday morning after they allegedly broke into a Oakland County dispensary and tried fleeing from police in high-speed chase that led all the way into Warren.

Southfield Deputy Police Chief Aaron Huguley told WWJ's Luke Sloan that officers from his department responded to the Lume Cannabis Recreational Dispensary off of Lahser around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 1.

When police arrived at the scene, they discovered the door open -- and walked in on four unknown men rummaging around inside.

According to Huguley, the suspects took off and jumped into a vehicle. Police pursued the men and chased them east on I-696 for miles until they hit Warren city limits.

At 9 Mile and Mound Road, pursing officers utilized a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle. Two men were apprehended at the scene while two others tried to get away on foot.

A short time later, officers nabbed the fleeing pair.

While the identities of the four men were not released, police said all of them were residents of Detroit.

The suspects are currently jailed and pending charges.
