ALLEN PARK (WWJ) - Two alleged thieves left behind a trial of breadcrumbs for police after they allegedly left an Allen Park store without paying for a few big ticket items.
Allen Park police said a man and a woman were "shopping" around a store when they loaded three air conditioner units on a cart. As the couple came to the store's self checkout area, the man grabbed a Reese's and scanned it and paid for it.
Police said none of the units in the cart were scanned or paid for when the couple left the store and loaded the units up in their vehicle before taking off.
But the alleged thieves did leave behind some incriminating evidence; police quickly discovered the couple forgot to take their purse with I.D. along with them.

"This makes it super easy to identify you," Allen Park police said on social media.
Police said they also found a crack pipe in the bag.
