Deadly semi truck pileup shuts down M-14 in Washtenaw County [PHOTOS]

(WWJ) One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash involving four semi trucks in Washtenaw County, according to Michigan State Police.

The MSP Brighton Post said it happened at 3:25 p.m. Monday, along eastbound M-14 near Miller Rd., in Ann Arbor Township.

MSP photos show first responders on the scene of the pileup, which left substantial wreckage on the freeway... blocking traffic just ahead of the afternoon commute.

There is no information at this time about what led to the crash, or about the person who was killed. The condition of the injured victims is also unknown at this time.

Police said the freeway would be shut down for a few hours while troopers investigate the cause, and authorities clean up the area.
