DEARBORN (WWJ) -- A Metro Detroit mother who disappeared more than a week ago has been found safe, according to police, along with her young child.
The Dearborn Police Department said 28-year-old Jordyn Wise and her 3-year-old daughter were seen on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Children's Hospital in Detroit after a confrontation with family members.
It's believed that Wise may have been experiencing a mental health crisis at the time of her disappearance, according to police.
In an update sent to the media, the Dearborn PD said Wise and the child were located safe on Friday.
Dearborn Chief of Police Issa Shahin added, in a statement: “We are grateful that Jordyn Wise and her child have been found safely. We thank the community for their support and coordination with our officers to locate Ms. Wise and her daughter.”
Police did not say where the missing mom and child were located. No further information was released.
