DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit Police are looking for the driver connected to a critical hit-and-run involving a woman riding an e-scooter.


According to investigators, the woman was hit last Thursday afternoon (Aug. 6) near Westphalia and Linnhurst, on the city's east side.

Police said the driver ran a stop sign before crashing into the woman, and then took off.

The suspect vehicle is described as a red Chrysler 300, model year 2006-through-2010, with no license plate.

Police said the the car will likely have front-end damage, including a missing fog light cover, along with extensive damage underneath the vehicle.

The woman was taking to a local hospital for treatment of critical injuries. There is no update on her condition at this time.
