DETROIT (WWJ) A shooting on Detroit's west side critically injured a gas station clerk.
Detroit Police said the shooting happened on Saturday, September 12, at a gas station on Joy Road near Burt, in the area of Evergreen.
According to authorities, two men, including one in a ski mask, entered the station at 6:30 p.m. and attempted to rob it. The gunfire broke out when the clerk, 46, tried to chase them out of the store.
A bullet struck the clerk in the stomach. He's hospitalized in critical condition.
The suspects remain on the run.
