DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit is a manufacturing town at the heart of the rust belt. Whether it’s cars, music or any of the other great things coming out of the city, Detroiters are capable of making anything.

Even honey. Non-profit Bees in the D is helping urban gardens across the city and into the metro area thrive. They’re also making some dang good honey.

On a new Daily J podcast, WWJ’s Zach Clark explores the urban nature of the Motor City and learns how Bees in the D is not only helping urban gardens, but bourbon lovers too.

Detroit City Distillery teams up with Bees in the D every year to make a honey bourbon. This year’s batch goes on sale Friday.
