The Farmington Hills Police Department announces the arrest of two people suspected of breaking and entering of numerous businesses throughout Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne Counties. Arrested were Romelo Dtrona Buggs, 23, and Andrea Shanek Dawkins, 29, both from Detroit, Michigan.
The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office authorized a five-count felony warrant for Breaking and Entering a Building with Intent, along with a misdemeanor charge of Driving While License Suspended for Romelo Buggs; and a two-count felony arrest warrant for Breaking and Entering a Building with Intent for Andrea Dawkins.
Both were arraigned at the 47th District Court on November 12, 2020 by Magistrate Michael Sawicky who set bond for Buggs at $50,000 cash or 10%. Dawkins was given a $50,000 personal bond. Romelo Buggs and Andrea Dawkins have a preliminary exam date set for November 20, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. before Judge Marla Parker.
Chief Jeff King credited the Farmington Hills Police midnight shift Patrol Officers, Police Detectives, and the Directed Patrol Unit, whose alert observations and investigative techniques led to the arrest of two individuals currently being investigated by numerous other jurisdictions for similar type crimes in the Tri-County area.
