Detroit police looking for suspects who fled down alley after stealing from Dollar General store

DETROIT (WWJ) — The search is on for a group of suspects who stole from a dollar store on Detroit’s west side.

Officials with the Detroit Police Department’s 2nd Precinct say multiple suspects are wanted for retail fraud at the Dollar General store on McNichols Road, west of Hubbell.

While authorities did not specify exactly when the robbery occurred, the suspects allegedly left the store without paying for merchandise and walked towards Lauder Street through an alley.

Surveillance video released on X shows a man in a black Jordan Jumpman hooded sweatshirt. Another photo shows a woman in black clothing and a man in a gray sweatshirt carrying a laundry basket full of items.

Officials didn’t specify whether those were the allegedly stolen items.

The 2nd Precinct is asking anyone who recognizes the suspects or anyone who knows something about the alleged robbery to call 313-596-5240.
