
DETROIT (WWJ) -- An investigation is underway after an infant was found unharmed inside a home where Detroit police discovered two dead bodies on Monday afternoon on the city’s west side.
Detroit police say they were investigating a double shooting around 4:15 p.m. in the 18000 block of Northlawn -- near 6 Mile and Wyoming -- when they found a 27-year-old woman dead in the basement and a 31-year-old man dead upstairs.
The officers also discovered a baby boy, who appears to be unharmed. Police have not released the child’s age and have not said whether the victims were his parents.
Police are still investigating the incident and have not released any information on a suspect or suspects or a possible motive.
