Have you seen Jessica and Janiyah? Detroit police asking for help finding missing sisters

DETROIT (WWJ) — Police are asking for the public’s help finding a pair of missing sisters.

The Detroit Police Department says 12-year-old Jessica Armstrong and her 13-year-old sister Janiyah Armstrong were reported missing on Tuesday.

The girls were last seen Tuesday at their home on Moenart Street, near Mound and 7 Mile Roads on the city’s east side, according to police.

Officials did not release any further information on the circumstances surrounding their disappearance.

Police say Jessica is about 5-foot-5, 165 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing all black clothes, according to police.

Janiyah, meanwhile, is about 5-foot-2, 150 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie with yellow writing on it, black pants and black and gold shoes.

Officials are asking anyone who has seen the sisters or knows something about where they may be to call the DPD’s 11th Precinct at 313-596-1140 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
