Have you seen Pierre? Police searching for 77-year-old with dementia after he walked away from Detroit home

Police are turning to the public for help after a 77-year-old Detroit man living with dementia went missing on Monday afternoon.

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are turning to the public for help after a 77-year-old Detroit man living with dementia went missing on Monday afternoon.

The Detroit Police Department is searching for Pierre Cote, 77, after he was last seen on Oct. 16 around noon on the 13900 block of Kentucky Street near Schoolcraft Road.

Police said Cote had left his home in the area -- he has not been seen or heard from since.

Cote's stepson said the 77-year-old is living with dementia.

Cote is described as between 5' 10 and 6' tall and weighs 160 lbs. to 170 lbs. He has white hair, a white beard and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a tan jacket and a gray sweat suit.

Anyone with any information on Cote's whereabouts has been asked to call Detroit's 10th Precinct at (313) 596-1040 or 911.
