DETROIT (WWJ) Police are asking for the public's help in identifying and finding a suspect, and his car, wanted in connection to a shooting at a bar in downtown Detroit.
Police said the suspect got into a brawl near "The Well Bar" on Randolph Street at Gratiot, about a half mile away from the Greektown Casino, on Friday, September 17 at 1 a.m.
While not visible on this section of video, police said the surveillance footage showed the suspect (on the left side of the screen, putting on a black t-shirt over a white tank top) and the victim fighting. Moments later, suspect went beneath the awning and fired multiple shots toward the victim's group, striking the man; according to police.
The suspect fled in an unknown direction in a black Ford Taurus.
A motive for the fighting and the shooting remains unknown.
The victim was driven by a friend or family member to a nearby hospital and was listed in a stable condition.
The suspect is described as having a short afro, approximately 5'10" and 230 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, green camo pants and dark shoes. He was driving a newer model black Ford Taurus with a temporary tag.
