DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down the people responsible for the non-fatal shooting of a 60-year-old woman in downtown Detroit.
Authorities say the woman was driving her white 2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio northbound on Gratiot near Antietam -- just east of Ford Field -- around 5 a.m. on March 27 when she noticed two vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed behind her.
As a silver Chevy Impala and a dark colored sedan approached, the woman says she heard multiple gunshots and then felt pain.
Police say the woman was taken to a hospital by first responders and was treated for a graze wound to her body.
Authorities have released nearby surveillance video footage that shows the vehicles involved. Police are asking for anyone who has information regarding the incident to call the Detroit Police Department's 7th Precinct Investigative Unit at 313-596-5740.
