DETROIT (WWJ) -- A dozen people are behind bars and thousands of dollars worth of drugs are off the streets after Detroit made a bust on the city's west side last week.
Officers with DPD's Narcotics Unit carried out a pair of search warrants at homes on Holmur Street and Yosemite Street -- just north of Joy Road between Grand River and Dexter -- on Wednesday, April 30.
While authorities have not released many details surrounding the case, officials say the raids stemmed from a narcotics trafficking investigation.
During the raids, authorities made two felony arrests, 10 misdemeanor arrests and confiscated more than $10,000 worth of drugs.
In total, police seized nearly 9 grams of fentanyl worth nearly $900, over 100 grams of marijuana worth more than $1,000, more than 90 grams of cocaine worth about $7,500 and 117 pills worth over $1,100.
Authorities also recovered four handguns, seven shotguns and about $250 in cash.
Police have not released the names or ages of anyone who was arrested. It was not immediately clear if the two homes that were related were connected.
