
DETROIT (WWJ) A Detroit teen was charged in the shooting of a 13-year-old boy.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Princess Diana Jennings-Carter, 16, with the non-fatal shooing of a 13-year-old Detroit boy. She will be waived and tried as an adult.
Police said the shooting happened on April 23 at a bus stop at West Seven Mile near Southfield. When officers arrived, they found the young victim at a nearby church with a gunshot to the right thigh and buttocks. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Prosecutors said Jennings-Carter approached the victim at a bus stop, fired multiple shots and fled the scene. There's no word on a motive, or if she knew him.
Princess Diana Jennings-Carter was charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, Carrying a Weapon with Unlawful Intent, and three counts of Felony Firearm*
She is expected to be arraigned sometime on Thursday.
