OAK PARK (WWJ) -- Two young people are dead, and a third is wounded after an early morning shooting in Oak Park.
"Very sad, a mother arriving here in Oak Park, finding out that her son was shot; part of a triple shooting," WWJ Newsradio 950's Charlie Langton reported.
The shooting happened at around 5 a.m. Monday, at a home along Coolidge Hwy., just south of 9 Mile Rd.
Langton said the two dead were a young man and a young woman, found inside the house. Their names were not released.
The third shooting victim, who was taken to a hospital, was said to have non life-threatening injuries.
There is no known motive at this time, but Langton said this happened during some sort of house party.
One neighbor told Langton she heard multiple shots.
"I don't know; it just kept 'buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh' — like that. Fast, like a machine. I can't tell you no more," she said.
Officers found at least 38 bullet casings outside of the home
There have been no arrests, and there is no description of any suspects at this time.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is assisting Oak Park Police in the ongoing in investigation.
