(WWJ) – A Detroit woman is facing a lengthy list of charges, including assaulting a police officer, after a routine traffic stop in Fraser over the weekend allegedly turned violent.

Monique Moses, 35, was pulled over for an expired license plate on Saturday in Fraser and she allegedly "refused all of the officers' demands" during the traffic stop, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.

At one point she allegedly put the car in reverse and hit a police car, just narrowly missing officers in the process.

Moses allegedly tried to run from her car and resisted officers who were trying to arrest her. She was eventually taken to the hospital.

While there, she allegedly assaulted two officers, causing "significant injuries," including tearing out one officer's hair, according to prosecutors.

Moses was arraigned Monday on the following nine charges:

• Fleeing a police officer in the third degree (five-year felony)
• Assault with a dangerous weapon (four-year felony)
• Assaulting, resisting and obstructing a police officer causing injury (four-year felony)
• Three counts of assaulting, resisting and obstructing a police officer (two-year felony)
• Malicious destruction of fire or police property (four-year felony)
• Operating a vehicle without security (one-year misdemeanor)
• Operating with a suspended license (93-day misdemeanor)

"This shows the dangers our police face daily, even if what initially seems routine.  We must emphasize the importance of cooperation during encounters with law enforcement. Resisting arrest and assaulting police officers not only endangers the individual involved but poses a potential threat to the safety of our community," Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido said in a press release.

Her bond was set at $100,000, cash/surety only. Upon release, Moses would be ordered to wear a GPS tether and she wouldn't be allowed to leave home after 8 p.m. or have any contact with the Fraser Police Department, except to report an emergency.

She also must stay in the state of Michigan and would not be able to use drugs or alcohol.

Moses is scheduled for a probable cause hearing on Nov. 15.
