
TROY (WWJ) — A woman who was pulled over for going 100 mph on I-75 in Troy last week has been charged with drunk driving.
Just after midnight on Monday, Aug. 19 a Troy police officers pulled a 22-year-old Detroit woman after they clocked her going over 100 mph in a 70 mph zone along northbound I-75 near Big Beaver Road.
When officers spoke with the woman, they noticed her eyes were glassy, her speech was slurred and her 2012 Volkswagen Jetta smelled like alcohol.
After failing several field sobriety tests, she blew a .138% BAC on a preliminary breath test.
The woman was then arrested and taken to the Troy Police Lock-Up, where a chemical breath test came back with a result of .123%.
The woman, whose name was not released, was issued a citation for operating while intoxicated. Authorities did not say whether she was ticketed for speeding.
