DETROIT (WWJ) – A 24-year-old woman has died after flipping her car on I-94 in Detroit early Sunday morning.
The woman, from Detroit, was driving too fast for conditions around 4:30 a.m. when she lost control of her car on the freeway, near Dickerson Avenue on the city's east side, according to Michigan State Police.
After losing control, the woman's car went up the embankment and flipped her vehicle. She was ejected from the car, MSP officials said.
EMS personnel performed CPR and used an AED while on-scene. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities have not said what happened in the moments leading up to the crash. It was not clear if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash, which is still under investigation.
