WATCH: Detroit Zoo lions rip apart Bucs gear for 'daily enrichment' ahead of Divisional showdown

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) — With Detroit Lions fever sweeping the state — and let's be honest, most places across the country who don't have their own team still alive in the NFL Playoffs — fans are fired up for Sunday's Divisional Round game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

And that apparently extends beyond just us humans. The folks at the Detroit Zoo on Sunday morning posted a video showing their very own lions getting in on the fun during their "daily enrichment."

Video shows two lions in their snowy enclosure tearing apart a football shaped toy with a Buccaneers-esque pirate logo.

"These lions had a little added motivation during their daily enrichment activity," a post on the Detroit Zoo Facebook page says. "Hey Detroit Lions, let's beat the Bucs today!"

The Lions host the Buccaneers at 3 p.m. Sunday, fresh off Detroit's first home playoff game in 30 years and the franchise's first playoff win in 32 years.

While fans share their "love stories" and the city rallies around the team, upwards of 200,000 people or more are expected to descend on Downtown Detroit Sunday, prompting a massive police presence.
