(WWJ) – A recent scientific study has been gaining a lot of attention in the headlines, which have claimed the Earth's core may have stopped spinning.

Is that actually the case?

On a new episode of "All Over the Space," Mike Murray of the Delta College Planetarium in Bay City replies with an emphatic answer.

"Sorry, folks. Wrong," he told WWJ's Erin Vee. "If the core were to stop, we'd all be dead."

Murray explains how the study was misinterpreted and just exactly what the scientific paper did find.

Also on this episode, Murray says this month is "primetime" for viewing the Orion constellation and nebula and shares the details of upcoming events at the planetarium.
