SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) -- A dog is expected to be okay after getting shot when someone opened fire into a home, Monday morning.
According to Southfield Police, the shooting happened at around 5:30 a.m. on Sharon Lane, in the area of12 Mile Rd. and Greenfield.
Police said multiple rounds were fired through the front door into a home.
A dog inside the house was hit and survived, police said, but one people were hurt.
While it's unclear what led to the shooting, police said that, based on all available information, there is no known threat to the public.
There have been no arrests, and no information about any potential suspects has been released, as the investigation continues.
