ROSEVILLE (WWJ) -- A shooting stemming from a domestic dispute outside a Roseville motel landed one man in custody and sent another to the hospital with a serious injury Sunday night.
Authorities say the altercation happened around 10 p.m. at the Victory Inn motel on Little Mack, just north of 13 Mile Rd.
When officers arrived at the motel, they found a 30-year-old Marysville man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken for treatment and remains hospitalized.
The likely shooter, 28, of Clinton Township, had remained in the vicinity, and he was detained by the police.
Officers were also able to recover a weapon from the scene.
Law enforcement determined that there had been a domestic dispute between the two men and a woman. The exact events leading up to the shooting remain unclear.
Roseville Deputy Police Chief Mitchell Berlin told WWJ that investigators are getting conflicting information from those involved and are still trying to get at the truth.
The case remains open, and the identities of the victim and suspect have not been released.
