DETROIT (WWJ) — Police are asking for help finding a man who allegedly stole from a store on the Fourth of July.
Around 11 a.m. that morning, the suspect allegedly walked into a store on Gratiot Avenue near Harper Avenue and ran out with several items, without paying.
Police officials did not identify the store and it was not clear what he stole.
Police on Monday, however, released a photo of the man, showing him with what appear to be several pieces of clothing in front of a rack of sunglasses.
Authorities describe the suspect as “an older black male” with dark complexion and wearing a white t-shirt.
Officials are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or knows something about the larceny to call the Detroit Police Department’s 7th Precinct Detective Unit at 313-596-5740, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP, or visit DetroitRewards.tv.
As always, all Crime Stoppers and Detroit Rewards TV tipsters will remain anonymous.
