DPS warns of man accused of impersonating Detroit school safety officer

DETROIT (WWJ) — The Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) is warning of a man impersonating a school safety officer.

The man is soliciting donations from local businesses and falsely claiming the money will be given to Detroit schools, according to school officials.

DPSD released a photo of the accused man (see cover photo). They are asking the public for tips to help identify and apprehend him.

No other details were released.
