DETROIT (WWJ) A man slammed his Corvette into a bank on Detroit's northwest side.
Police say the driver, 60, collided with another vehicle. The force of the collision sent his car careening into the front window of Comerica Bank.
It happened at Grand River and Outer Drive between 9 and 10 Monday evening.
He was hospitalized with serious injuries.
WDIV-Channel 4 reports the driver of the other vehicle (that did not hit the bank) was a "young woman" who failed her sobriety test. No word if she was hurt.
Video posted by WDIV-Channel 4 shows the front window of the bank completely smashed, and the car damaged.
It's unclear whether any charges will be filed.
