(WWJ) A driver whose car went into Woodland Lake in Livingston County was rescued by two Good Samaritans.

The Brighton Area Fire Authority posted on social media that firefighters responded Sunday afternoon and the driver had been rescued by the bystanders who jumped into the water and pulled the victim to safety moments before the vehicle was fully submerged.

The driver wasn't hurt.

People on the lake say the driver was speeding on Hilton Road near Grand River when he lost control of his car and ended up going into a driveway and than the lake.

A tow truck was called to pull the car from the water.
