ALLEN PARK (WWJ) Allen Park Police said the speeding driver caught their attention, but they were not at all amused.
Police witnessed a driver going 117 miles per hour on the Southfield Freeway. While they posted about the incident on Facebook at 1 p.m. Friday; they did not give any more details of when or where it happened.
Adding insult to injury, they said, the car had no license plate and smelled of "beverages."
The suspect blew a .15% on the breathalyzer, nearly double the legal limit. He also told police he didn't know if his car had insurance.
He was taken to jail. The car was impounded.
"You and your car both get rides," the sardonic post read, "One to the Allen Park Police Department Bed & Breakfast (APDB&B), and the other to the impound lot. SMH head folks, really."
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
