REDFORD (WWJ) -- A Macomb County woman is in jail after a deadly stabbing in Redford overnight.
Redford Police said a call came in about a stabbing at home on Cathedral St., in the area of Telegraph and Joy roads. at around 12:15 a.m. on April 25. Officers arrived to find a 52-year-old Redford man, who lived in the home, had been stabbed one time in the chest.
He was taken to a hospital where he died, police said.
A 47-year old woman was then taken into custody several hours later at her home in Eastpointe.
Police said an investigation found there was a fight between the suspect and the victim before the stabbing, and that the two people had been involved in a prior relationship.
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office will determine charges.
No names have been released.
