
TROY (WWJ) – An investigation is underway after a Kroger employee allegedly assaulted another employee at the store in Troy.
Troy police officials say officers were called to the store on John R. near Big Beaver around 10:30 a.m. on May 25 after a victim told authorities he was assaulted.
The victim said he confronted one of his employees after receiving a complaint of unprofessional behavior. Authorities did not specify whether the victim was the employee's boss.
When the employee was told he had been suspended, he allegedly punched and kicked the victim multiple times, causing injuries to his face and hand, according to Troy police.
The employee then allegedly fled the scene in his vehicle before police were called.
Authorities did not disclose what the employee did that was “unprofessional.”
It was not clear whether any charges have been filed against the employee for the alleged attack.
Police did not release the names or ages of anyone involved in the incident.
