Crime Stoppers offers reward on three-year-anniversary of Warren man murdered in his yard by unknown suspect

WARREN (WWJ)— Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect who killed a Warren man in his yard three years ago to date. The family is still looking for justice.

Police said Devin Sherrell, 32, was shot and killed outside his home on La Salle Boulevard, in the area of 8 Mile and Gratiot, on September 29 2020. Around 9 p.m., the unknown suspect knocked on Sherrell’s door and told him “an incident was taking place in his backyard,” according to a press release from Crime Stoppers.

“Devin exited his home and started to look in the backyard when the suspect took out a semi-automatic pistol and shot him multiple times,” the press release said.

Sherrell died in his driveway.

The suspect drove away from the scene in a silver vehicle heading south to the city of Detroit, Crime Stoppers said.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest for the murder of Devin Sherrell.
