TRAVERSE CITY (WWJ) - On the 10th anniversary of a tragic hit-and-run, the FBI and Traverse City Police are reaching out for information about the death of Kelly Boyce-Hurlbert.

Early in the morning of July 5, 2013, investigators say Boyce-Hurlbert was riding her bike home from work in Traverse City, when she was hit by a vehicle and killed on the 600 block of Washington Street.

At the time, police said an investigation determined that Boyce was traveling eastbound on the south side of Washington, within 12 inches of the curb, when she was struck from behind, at around 2 a.m.

The 29-year-old was then dragged about two-and-a-half blocks by what was believed to be a dark SUV or pickup truck, police said. The vehicle then fled the scene.

Following the tragic incident, police said they received hundreds of tips from the public, but none that led to a suspect or an arrest in the case.

While there are cameras all over the city, a popular tourist area, investigators said not one of them captured an image of the suspect vehicle.

On Wednesday, the FBI said it is offering up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Boyce-Hurlbert's death.

Anyone who knows anything is asked to call the Traverse City Police Department at 231-995-5170, or send an email to traversecitypolicedepartment@traverersecitymi.gov.
