HARRISON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - A fisherman was rescued after falling into Lake St. Clair in Harrison Township.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office told WWJ that the rescue occurred in the Lake St. Clair Metropark at Metro Beach on Friday.
The fisherman was rescued by Harrison Township firefighters.
Authorities say the fisherman is okay.
With the recent warmup, officials are saying to be wary of ice.
A 75-year-old woman died after falling through the ice on a pond in Milford on Thursday. Her dog was pulled from the ice.
On Jan. 22, the Coast Guard and local authorities rescued 20 people trapped on an ice floe in Ohio.
