TRAVERSE CITY (WWJ) -- Four men from the Muskegon area are behind bars, after Michigan State Police say they were caught running an illegal drug operation Up North.

The bust happened last Tuesday after detectives from the Traverse Narcotics Team (TNT) said they'd identified several people who'd allegedly been traveling on a regular basis to the Traverse City area from Muskegon to deliver "large quantities of drugs."

After conducting surveillance on the men in Garfield Township, troopers with the MSP 7th District Emergency Support Team made a traffic stop on the suspects' rental car.

In the car, troopers found 114 grams of crystal methamphetamine - 58 grams of cocaine, 31 grams of fentanyl, 6 grams of heroin, 2.5 grams of crack cocaine, 5 oxycodone pills, and $1,860, MSP said.

The drugs and cash were seized and all four men— ages 20, 22, 27 and 29 — were arrested.

All four were booked in the Grand Traverse County Jail on charges of possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession with the intent to deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to deliver fentanyl, and possession with the intent to deliver heroin. Bond for each man was set at $75,000.

Police said additional charges are expected in this case as the investigation continues.
