DETROIT (WWJ) -- Officials in charge of America's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Detroit say they've extended their sponsorship deal with Gardner-White through the year 2025.
Gardner-White, a leading furniture and mattress store throughout southeast Michigan, agreed last year to pick up the tab for the Detroit parade, after previous longtime sponsor Art Van went out of business.
Now, Gardner-White has committed to extending its sponsorship of the parade for an additional three years.
Tony Michaels, President and CEO of The Parade Company, which has put on the Detroit holiday event for nearly a century, says "we are thrilled to extend our partnership with Gardner-White, they are such an important part of The Parade Company family."
"Their incredible support and commitment signals a strong future for America's Thanksgiving Parade presented by Gardner-White," Michaels said.
While the 2020 edition of the parade was held as a TV-only event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it's set to return this fall.
The 95th annual America's Thanksgiving Parade will return to Woodward Avenue on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 25. This year's theme is "Love on Woodward."
The parade will be broadcast in more than 185 TV markets across the country and will be exclusively aired on WDIV Local 4 in the Detroit area.
