After setting a 2024 high last week, gas prices are down an average 10 cents a gallon in Michigan

DEARBORN (WWJ) — After reaching a 2024 high of $3.69 last weekend, gas prices in our state are down 10 cents from a week ago.

The latest AAA survey shows that the average price of regular unleaded in Michigan is now $3.59 a gallon.

Metro Detroit’s current average is a penny higher, at $3.60 a gallon.

Prices are highest in Marquette at $3.71 a gallon. They're the lowest price in Traverse City at $3.37 a gallon.

Motorists are paying an average of $53 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline; a discount of about $5 from 2023's highest price last August.
