WARREN (WWJ) -- Charges are pending against two people involved in a dispute turned deadly at a flea market in Warren, while a fundraisers has been launched to support the victim's family.
Police said a vender and two customers got into an argument that escalated Saturday afternoon, at the County Line Flea Market, on Dequindre Rd., near John B. Ave.
One of the customers then got into a vehicle and ran over the vendor, police said.
The vendor was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
Police said both suspects were taken into custody without incident, and that the investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe has been set up by the family who says the victim, "Mido," was a father of five, including two teenaged daughters. All funds raised will go to pay for funeral expenses and to support the family.
A message on the fundraiser page reads, in part:
"Mido was the person who held the family together and was their main financial provider. He devoted himself to caring for his loved ones and, above all, was a source of stability, safety, and support for his children. His two youngest daughters have now lost the person who played such a central role in their everyday lives. Their mother, older siblings, and close family members are doing everything in their power to support them and keep the family together during this incredibly difficult time. The despair, grief, and pain are impossible to put into words. Alongside the unbearable loss, the family is now also facing serious financial uncertainty."
There is no information about the suspects in custody, pending an arraignment.
