(WWJ) It's a true Michigan sign that event organizers are hopeful that the end of the pandemic is on the horizon.
ArtPrize, a 19-day international art competition in Grand Rapids, is slated to return between September 16 and October 3, 2021, according to a statement on the competition's official Facebook page.
Organizers said artist venue and registration dates will be posted soon.
Artists who work in any form from anywhere in the world can participate.
The public votes for the winner. The highest prize is a whopping $200,000 to the winning artist.
"Cheers to the New Year," organizers said. "We can't wait for what 2021 will bring."
Art Prize was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, along with other Michigan and Metro Detroit traditions including the Woodward Dream Cruise and The North American International Auto Show.
