GREEN OAK TWP. (WWJ) – The search is on for a woman involved in a hit-and-run over the weekend in Western Oakland County that left several cars damaged.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. on northbound US-23, according to the Green Oak Township Police Department.
Officials say a woman driving a GMC Sierra hit one vehicle, causing two other cars to be involved. She then fled the scene.
Authorities say aside from the suspect's truck, three vehicles were damaged and those involved sustained minor injuries.
Green Oak Twp. police shared a photo of the suspect taken at the scene, showing her standing out of the driver's door of the truck in what appears to be a construction zone.
Police officials say the blue Sierra has a chrome grill and a black push bumper, which was damaged in the incident.
Police described the suspect as "a heavy-set white female, approximately 40-50 years old."
Officials are asking anyone who recognizes the woman or knows something about the incident to call Officer Beach at (810)231-9626.
