Have you seen Teia? Detroit police ask for help finding missing 13-year-old who hasn't been seen since Monday morning

DETROIT (WWJ) – Police are asking for the community's help finding a young Detroit girl who hasn't been seen since Monday morning.

Teia Reed, 13, left her family's westside home near McNichols and Telegraph Roads around 11 a.m. Monday without permission and never came home, according to Detroit police.


She was last seen wearing a red Polo shirt, black pants and red New Balance Shoes, according to police.

The teen is described as about 5-foot-3, 120 lbs., with brown eyes and black braided hair.

Authorities have not released any other details surrounding her disappearance but are asking anyone who has seen Teia Reed or knows where she may be to call the Detroit Police Department's 8th Precinct at 313-596-5801.
