DEARBORN (WWJ) The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn was evacuated amid an active bomb threat, museum officials said.
In a Facebook post, the Henry Ford Museum said it received the bomb threat through its switchboard during the evening of Saturday, November 7.
The Museum said it called Dearborn Police "immediately." Police brought K-9s to search the building.
"Out of an abundance of caution, we made the decision to evacuate all campus events," the statement read. "The safety of our staff, students, volunteers and guests is our main priority, and we will remain vigilant against any potential situation that puts our people, visitors and venues in jeopardy."
The Museum posted an update shortly before midnight and said no threat had been found.
"We are deeply grateful for Dearborn’s swift response," the statement read. "Their diligence and professionalism helped ensure the safety and security of our guests, volunteers, and staff."
The Henry Ford Museum resumed normal operations on Sunday, November 8.
This comes amid a wave of bomb threats targeting flights and newsrooms across Europe.
