DETROIT (WWJ) Firefighters rescued two children from a burning home on Detroit's west side.
Detroit Fire Department officials told WWJ the flames broke out at a house on Woodstock, near Woodward and Eight Mile, on Saturday, November 7 at approximately 11:40 a.m.
Firefighters arrived and found two children, ages 12 and 15, trapped on the second floor.
Crews deployed a ladder to get them out of the house.
The children, accompanied by their grandmother, were taken to Children's Hospital of Michigan. Their conditions were not released, but DFD officials describe their injuries as "non-life-threatening."
