(WWJ) – As the Sept. 14 deadline for a new contract looms, members of the UAW last week overwhelmingly voted in favor of authorizing a strike if new contracts with the "Big 3" can't be met.
While a vote of strike authorization during contract negotiations with Ford, GM and Stellantis is not uncommon, new UAW President Shawn Fain is taking a "hard line" with the companies and has even held a "practice strike" with members.
