(WWJ) — Garden City native Garrett Fuller has used social media to make a name for himself. In fact, he’s made several names for himself: Dip Cup, Uncle Terry, Cody and Traylen.

The man behind the viral “Wayne County Lyfe” social media channels has found online stardom through his comedy.

Certainly, the attention comes because the videos are funny. But on a new Sunday Conversation edition of the Daily J podcast WWJ’s Zach Clark and Annie Scaramuzzino learn from Fuller that it’s actually more about the connection with his loyal Metro Detroit audience.

While the Wayne County Lyfe pages have taken off in recent years — to the tune of more than 370,000 followers on Facebook — Fuller says he's fueled and inspired by the positive reaction from Metro Detroiters.

“Now with the support and stuff, I feel like the town is like, ‘GO!’ I get recognized when we’re filming. That’s so great to have the town welcome us and kind of be like, ‘do your thing,” he said. “It’s nice to have everybody out there supporting us all the time.”
