DETROIT (WWJ) – The 2023 nominees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame have been released, and among them are two big names from Detroit: The White Stripes and The Spinners.

Over the years, the Rock Hall has expanded its definition of rock music, as is evident with 2023 nominees Missy Elliott and Willie Nelson. On a new Daily J, WWJ's Zach Clark not only tries to figure out if a wider definition is a good thing, but also profiles Jack White and the White Stripes, as well as The Spinners.
