DETROIT (WWJ/AP) With less than a month until the 2024 Presidential Election; Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance is slated to speak at Eastern Market in downtown Detroit on Tuesday (10/8).
The Ohio senator is expected to deliver remarks on the auto industry.
"Michigan prides itself on being the auto capital of the world, and it's the backbone of Michigan's economy," a press release on Vance's visit from Former President Trump's campaign said.
Doors open at noon, with Vance slated to begin speaking at 2:00 p.m.

Vance was in Detroit less than a week ago, speaking at Visioneering in Auburn Hills. His visit came the day after he faced off against Democratic vice presidential nominee, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, in a civil debate hosted by CBS News. See the full debate here.
On the other side of the aisle; Democratic presidential nominee and current Vice President, Kamala Harris, made campaign stops in Redford Township and Flint on Friday (10/4).
Michigan is a key battleground state in the election. The election is 30 days away.
