Friday began with the release of Jack White's first of two new albums in 2022, 'Fear Of The Dawn' and a performance of the National Anthem at the Detroit Tigers Opening Day game at Comerica Park.
White, a noted baseball aficionado and native Detroiter, saw the Tigers pull off a walkoff win then headed to the Masonic Temple Theatre to kick off his 'Supply Chain Issues' world tour.

White ripped through a career-spanning set that included hits from The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather and his solo material and then he surprised everyone as he invited his girlfriend, and fellow Detroit native, Olivia Jean on stage to perform "Hotel Yorba". That's when Jack said “it’s been such a great day, mind if we get married right now?” According to the Detroit Free Press.
Third Man Records co-founder Ben Swank joined the couple on stage after their engagement and made the marriage official. The show ended with an encore that included "Steady, As She Goes" & "Seven Nation Army". Fans also notably didn't capture video, or photos of the nuptials as White doesn't allow phones at his shows. 'The Supply Chain Issues' tour continues through August.
