In 2014, Christy Ann Thompson Harris, then 36, was found dead in her home in Davison. Her death was ruled as an accidental overdose, though her family insisted she never used drugs.

The tables turned when her preserved breast milk was found two years later and proved the ruling wrong, as there were no traces of drugs in the milk.

Evidence of an affair, a murder-for-hire plot, and competing testimony from brothers is expected to go before the court.

The trial is expected to last two-weeks.
