(WWJ) -- Two missing cousins who were once believed to be headed to northern Michigan have been found safe on Thursday in southern California thanks to a tip from a good Samaritan.

Noah Clare, 3, from Tennessee and his cousin Amber Clare, 16, from Kentucky were found near San Clemente, California, with the younger child’s father, Jacob Clare.
A woman dropping her son off at school saw the trio and recognized them from photos she’d seen online and called 911, said officials.
Almost a week before they were found, surveillance cameras in San Clemente caught sight of the three walking hand-in-hand on Nov. 11, provided by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The 35-year-old father is in custody and charged with aggravated kidnapping, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Tennessee authorities issued on Amber Alert on Nov. 16, saying the group was traveling in a silver Subaru Legacy Wagon and believed to be headed to Emmet County near Harbor Springs.
The two were missing since Nov. 7.
